Commodore Henry Sears formed the New York Yacht Club’s primary syndicate for the 1958 America’s Cup and commissioned Columbia to be their racer. Included on the Columbia syndicate was Gerard B. Lambert. This year Mr. Lambert will be inducted into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame.
In addition to his campaign with Columbia, Mr. Lambert was involved with three America’s Cup J Class campaigns before World War II. Read more about Mr. Lambert and the other 2012 inductees on the America’s Cup website.
